Pixelynx is a new music and gaming venture that has been launched by deadmau5 and Richie Hawtin. We are building a music metaverse that makes it easy for any artist, label or events to launch their own interactive experiences and monetise them through Digital Collectables (NFTs)

We are looking for a Game Designer to own whole feature designs for our game products. You will be focused on the design and implementation of core game systems, mechanics and gameplay loops. Working with our creative, development and production teams, you’ll be the driving force behind quality gameplay systems that scale to cater for a wide range of gamers across Elynxir. You will have a wide focus for our Web3 based mobile F2P product and be heavily involved in the design of this.

This role is fully remote and will be open to a contracting opportunity #LI-Remote

Job Responsibilities

• Work on developing and refining core game mechanics
• Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure narrative, core gameplay appeal and alignment is maintained
• Develop prototypes in to working game systems and refine to high quality standards
• Identify shortcomings and offer solutions and iterations on existing game design
• Produce solutions to current and future problems that don’t negatively impact other systems and mechanics
• Collect and utilise feedback from the development team, user tests and the community

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Game Designer working on high quality F2P Mobile titles
• Proven experience on taking designs from initial creation through to implementation
• Understanding of what makes a good idea objectively and why an idea might not work
• An interest and knowledge of the metaverse and web3 technology
• A logical, holistic and objective approach to problem solving
• Excellent written and verbal communication, comfortable presenting ideas across multiple areas of the business
