The Role:

The Head of Martech/Data Technology is a data evangelist by day and enthusiastic gamer at night. You live and breathe data. Data and insights excite you, especially when you’re able to build that capability from the ground up. You’re a self-motivated expert that wants to make an impact and leave behind a legacy of leadership innovation.

The role requires a deep understanding of ad technology and the landscape regarding tools/services, architectural design and key players such as, but not limited to, Adobe, Permutive, Google Cloud, Snowflake, etc. This leader must have a “hands on” approach but also be a strategic visionary to provide the forthsight for establishing and maintaining Enthusiast Gaming for future success.

Responsibilities:

  • Inform, plan, and deliver EG’s audience technology stack to attract new customers, as well as engage and monetize existing customers.
  • Execute the strategic agenda for the organization’s MarTech/Data roadmap; mobilizing key partners across the end-to-end ecosystem inclusive of near term & long term priorities for critical domains
  • Lead Enthusiast Gaming’s 1st party data strategy in preparation for a cookieless world while fully understanding the revenue implications and opportunities
  • Responsible for designing and delivering our data stack, enabling dynamic, personalized digital content, and testing capabilities. In addition, build next generation offer management and subscription infrastructure to enable real-time, always on, customer level promotional offers.
  • Responsible for managing the oversight of our data platform capabilities and infrastructure that spans traditional and non-digital advertising needs and experience integrating 1st, 2nd and 3rd party data.
  • Appropriately assess data regulations when data collection, management and usage decisions are made, protecting the firm’s reputation and safeguarding its clients, partners  and assets.
  • Work closely with in-house legal counsel to establish the necessary internal data policies and procedures throughout the company to ensure compliance with all applicable laws (ie: GDPR, CCPA, etc.), rules and regulations.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand the ways to leverage the current data sets (email addresses) to create business value from data analysis.
  • Enable data driven decisions with automation to drive operating efficiency, actionable analytics and business performance optimization across EG’s global network of gaming publishers and properties while also designing/implementing data pipelines.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with contributing to digital transformation & integration Martech projects including Adobe AEM, Offer management tools, Pega, Salesforce marketing cloud, etc.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Designing, Developing, and implementing effective analytics solutions, using Amazon Web Services, and services such as S3, EC2, EMR, Glue, Redshift and/or Snowflake Data Warehouse, etc.
  • Experience with marketing technology architecture, backend systems, data dependencies, and front-end interfaces that are required to implement and execute digital marketing campaigns.
  • Proficient in data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships with the ability to influence the development and execution of key strategies/initiatives
  • Expert knowledge of the adtech and martech industry and direct competitors’ products/services to drive to the commercial objectives of the business, as well as thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the business.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
