ABOUT THE KATE FARMS PROJECT MANAGEMENT TEAM

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Project Manager is an important member of the Project Management Team responsible for providing end-to-end project management of cross-functional projects. She or he will leverage their understanding of technical project management, leadership skills, and business knowledge and experience to ensure their projects launch on time, on budget, and meeting agreed success criteria. The Project Manager will also leverage their process management skills to effectively manage and continuously improve key cross-functional project processes including the product innovation and renovation stage gate process, the business transformation governance process, and the Content and Claims Review Team (CRT) process.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Mange cross-functional projects end-to-end including all commercial and operational workstreams through the entire project lifecycle from brief to closure. Projects managed will be of lower complexity such as product packaging and formula line extensions and renovations. The Project Manager will ensure projects are launched on time, on budget, and on quality by:

  • Ensuring that project scope and success criteria are clearly defined, agreed to, and controlled
  • Creating and maintaining detailed project plans, aligning the project team to those plans, and managing their execution
  • Identifying project team members and escalating resource gaps
  • Identifying issues and risks and facilitate cross-functional discussions to address them
  • Facilitating regular project team meetings and providing transparent and timely status updates
  • Collaborating with external partners and suppliers and integrating their activities and timing into the overall project plan
  • Serving as gatekeeper including working with project owners to prepare and submit required project documentation, assessing project gate readiness, recording governance decisions, and reporting governance status of project portfolios
  • Managing governance meetings including setting meeting agendas, sending pre-reads, preparing, and sharing meeting content, and communicating meeting outcomes
  • Providing training, KPIs, and documentation (e.g., gate deliverable checklist) and facilitating continuous improvement
  • Managing the submission calendar, collecting documents for review, facilitating review meetings, tracking signoffs, and communicating outcomes
  • Managing CRT document control including receiving final submission, confirming required changes have been made, and distributing final documents
  • Serving as the business process owner for the CRT tool, Veeva Vault PromoMats, including defining business requirements, providing system training, and supporting IT in their management of the application and its provider
  • Providing training, reporting KPIs, and facilitating continuous improvement

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic/developing abilities in and understanding of project management knowledge areas (e.g., requirements management, schedule management, risk management, etc.) and process groups (i.e., initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling, closing)
  • Can manage simpler project with autonomy, leading projects teams through given work structures
  • Highly organized with ability to manage a lot of detailed information
  • Can manage multiple projects simultaneously and shift priorities quickly
  • Can identify issues and facilitate cross-functional discussions to solve them
  • Quick learner with critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Can document and enforce processes and facilitate continuous improvement
  • Can effectively use project planning software (e.g., MS Project, Wrike, Smartsheets, etc.)
  • Leadership: · Is motivated by our company purpose and mission and reflects our company values · Drives to achieve ambitious personal performance objectives with a sense of urgency and a desire to make an impact · Can manage cross-functional teams to define clear project objectives and plans and execute them
  • Solid written, visual, and verbal communication skills, can credibly communicate with clarity and accuracy at all levels of the organization
  • Can facilitate cross-functional meetings
  • Can build a network of internal stakeholders and interact with them effectively
  • Minimum 2 years of business experience including participation in cross-functional projects, preferably in food/beverage
  • Has a basic understanding of functional org structures and the roles & responsibilities of each function
  • Has an understanding of high-level P&L components (e.g., revenue, costs, profit margin)
  • Can effectively use standard MS Office applications (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

If the position applied to is not located in Colorado, NYC, or California, the following information may not apply. Salary Minimum: $ 70,865 Salary Maximum $93,821. The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the Kate Farms salary range for this position. This range will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, internal pay

alignment, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Kate Farms’ total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long- term incentives.
