Republic Live is a Canadian privately-owned live entertainment company, founded in 2011. Republic Live takes pride in creating world-class, fan-centric, experiential music and camping events. The company works with a multitude of partners, vendors, and industry members to create unique experiences for fans, artists, and the community. Republic Live proudly produces award-winning music festivals, including Boots and Hearts Music Festival. Since its inception in 2012, Boots and Hearts has become internationally recognized in the country music space as Canada’s largest camping country music festival. Republic Live owns and operates the venue Burl’s Creek Event Grounds in Oro-Medonte, focusing on both large-scale concerts and multi-day camping festivals for patrons across Canada and internationally.
The ideal graphic designer will have strong creative skills and a portfolio of work which demonstrates their passion for design and content creation. Not only will this candidate have a passion for design, but a strong understanding of dynamic visual brand language is a must. This candidate will also have experience in working with various design forms such as digital (static + short form) and print media. A desirable, but not required asset is previous experience in live music and entertainment.
This person needs to understand most disciplines of modern design such as animation, 3D, flat layout, motion graphics, and OOH.
This position will report to both the Creative Director and Manager of Brand Strategy to assist with the conceptualization and execution of design across multiple platforms. Daily projects include designing digital marketing assets (motion and static), assisting in website maintenance, social content, and collaborating with the greater team on campaign projects.
Creative problem-solving and strategic thinking is a big part of the day-to-day to remove barriers and provide intelligent solutions, and value-added service for our clients.
You will be responsible for thinking critically about a range of creative challenges and working to implement these solutions into your designs.
Maintain brand consistency at all times across all events.
Work closely with the marketing department on creative tasks to ensure all assets clearly communicate to the consumer without compromising quality or brand image.
Have the ability to conceptualize creative design/ communication based on a marketing campaign.
Knowledge of digital and print design, web design, and motion graphics.
Superior communication skills with the ability to write clearly and concisely, specifically consumer-facing.
Flexible and adaptable with the ability to multi-task/adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work and research independently/
Ability to collaborate with, learn from, and share knowledge with team members.
Be available for all on-site events.
An ability to work autonomously with effective organization and time management skills.
Access to a car to travel to and from Burl’s Creek Event Grounds when necessary.
Ability to work from home and travel for team meetings and on-site execution (Oro-Medonte, Ontario)
Bachelor’s degree, Diploma, or certificate in Graphic/ Motion Design or equivalent.
