Principal Backend Engineer

Battlefy needs your help to accelerate the rise of esports. We are looking for an experienced principal backend engineer to join our team and help build the Battlefy platform. You will…

• collaborate with other engineers on technical design documentation to ensure the creation of robust and scalable systems to meet business needs
• be hands on to build tooling to increase developer efficiency and happiness
• be responsible for the technology stack of the infrastructure that powers our applications
• work with our engineering, operations and business teams to plan and forestall future scaling challenges
• have technical ownership over data security and privacy, collaborating with operations and leadership
• help to recruit, mentor and teach peers

You are…

• a skilled software developer with backend technologies such as Node.JS.
• familiar with AWS services, particularly Lambda, RDS and DynamoDB
• an automator
• someone who cares about what they do

You have…

• three or more years of work experience in software development in a SaaS environment
• worked with AWS and its services

Bonus points if you…

• have worked in startup environments (especially your own ventures, even if it failed)
• have experience in organizing or competing in esports tournaments
• produce content such as blog posts, videos, or tech talks
