ROLE PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION:
- Own the product lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment and ongoing enhancements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, user needs, and technical constraints, translating them into features and functionality.
- Create and maintain a clear and prioritized product backlog, defining user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate closely with software development teams, providing clear and concise requirements, guidance, and support throughout the development process.
- Conduct regular reviews and participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and user-friendly products and documentation.
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, facilitating communication and managing expectations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to fintech and technology.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Continuously gather feedback from users, clients, and internal teams to identify areas for improvement and keep the product roadmap updated.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business & Computing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum of 2 years) as a Technical Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in a software development environment.
- Strong technical background with a solid understanding of software development methodologies, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Previous experience working with API-driven products and services in the fintech or financial services industry is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and balance competing priorities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products on time.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and foster positive working relationships.
