Description of the offer

Carebit is a design-led healthcare technology company helping hundreds of private doctors across the UK run their practices more effectively and efficiently with our web automation platform, along with hundreds of thousands of their patients. We’re now looking to add our first product designer to the team to work alongside Dominic (our founder and developer) and two other developers to help us to continue to deliver a beautiful and effective product into 2024 and beyond. We’ve got tons to build and want your help in shaping it!

We are a bootstrapped, profitable and fully-remote company of 12 (3 full stack developers). Having been remote from day 1, we believe in its benefits and we intend to keep it that way. Our loyal customers love our product, are generous with feedback, and love to work with us in helping to build a best-of-breed platform with us. Having doubled in revenue in 2023, we’re now looking for a product designer (ideally with SaaS experience) to help them and us on this mission. You’ll be working directly with some of our customers to help design and build the product, which is how we love to build and we’ll give you the autonomy and ownership to do so.

About you

You’ll consider yourself to be a mid-senior level product designer with 2+ years of experience with great communication, empathy and curiosity. You’re looking for a rewarding, creative environment in which to quickly create, prototype, iterate and ship where your work has immediate real-world impact on doctors and patients.

• You want to work on a product which is already loved by hundreds of loyal users and has an ambitious roadmap for 2024 and beyond
• You like coming up with your own feature ideas and flourish in environments that encourage this
• You like working in small teams and believe in the ability of small, focussed teams to outperform relative to their size
• You will be able to show off some of your own work, or examples of work you admire
• You love to ship frequently and are velocity-focussed
• You want to make an impact in your work

Requirements

• You have demonstrable experience with mobile and web UI and UX design and know how to implement clean, functional and intuitive experiences
• Proven ability to take a brief idea from a customer to a designed, shipped and tested feature that wows
• Ability to see the big picture (systems thinking) when building a feature (e.g. how it can be made modular or flexible to accommodate changes in future, or where else could it be deployed in the Carebit application)
• A keen eye for UI and UX, colour, simplicity and hierarchy in design

• Nice to have but not required – previous SaaS experience
