Our mission is to redefine how people engage with their digital memories, and we’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to help us achieve our goals.

 

➤ WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Shape the user experience design for features and enhancements within the Journi apps
  • Collaborate closely with our product managers, all equipped with a strong UI/UX background, as they join forces with you to transform user requirements into intuitive and engaging product experiences
  • Take on a key role in maintaining and shaping the Journi design language and system, ensuring consistent design standards across all our platforms
  • Work with several cross-functional teams as our UI/UX expert supporting multiple projects in each quarter
  • Gather insights with colleagues from CX & Data to solve user problems by improving the UI/UX
  • Sometimes, work on broadly defined, loose concepts, and at other times, focus on narrowly defined, tactical features – from initial draft to developer handover
  • Develop prototypes that blend usability with creativity

 

➤ YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong portfolio showcasing mobile app (phone + tablet) and web design samples
  • At least 4 years of experience in consumer application, product, or software design roles
  • Ability to apply user-centered design principles, maintain consistency, ensure usability and accessibility, establish visual hierarchy, provide responsive & intuitive interfaces, stick to consistent design patterns, and embrace iterative design processes.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work with meticulous attention to detail on time
  • Strong communication with your colleagues, with the ability to communicate design concepts and decisions effectively
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Suite is a must
  • You are active in the search of self-improvement, asking for feedback and self-motivated
  • Has a pro-active, pragmatic & output-focused way of working
  • You’re an EU citizen or have a working visa for Austria (unfortunately we aren’t able to support non-EU citizens for this position)
  • You are able to relocate to / based in Vienna – the world’s most liveable city!

 

➤ OUTSTANDING CANDIDATES WILL HAVE

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced tech startup environment
  • Studied in a design-related field
  • Illustration and/or animation skills
  • Experience conducting or participating in user research sessions
  • Experience with Asana or similar project management systems

  • Our starting salary for a mid-level position with 4 years of experience is EUR 44,000 (following the Collective Agreement). However, we are committed to offering a higher salary based on your skills and experience.
