Position Overview:
As a Web Developer at Apex Hosting, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing our web-based applications and internal systems. This role demands a blend of front-end and back-end development skills, aiming to create intuitive, efficient, and scalable web solutions. Working within our agile development team, you will contribute to all phases of the product development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring our platforms exceed the expectations of our users. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain web applications using a mix of technologies including PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and frameworks like Laravel or Yii.
- Write and test MySQL database migrations using tools like Laravel or Phinx.
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement scalable web architectures.
- Ensure responsive application design for mobile devices.
- Uphold security and data protection best practices.
- Stay up to date with new technology trends and incorporate them into our development practices.
- Offer technical support and troubleshooting assistance for web applications.
- Demonstrate initiative and self-sufficiency in handling complex development tasks.
- 1-3 years of experience in full-stack web development, showcasing expertise in: PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Laravel, Yii or other PHP MVC frameworks
- Strong knowledge in MySQL database management and Redis for data caching.
- Familiarity with code versioning tools and continuous integration practices.
- Ability to work independently on complex tasks, demonstrating problem-solving skills and initiative.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
- Experience with game server hosting, especially Minecraft.
- Knowledge of WHMCS or other billing management software.
- Experience with Linux environments, and container technologies (Docker, Podman).
- A passion for gaming and understanding of the gaming community’s needs.
- $55,000 – $70,000 based on experience.
