Senior Product Manager

Project Manager

GiveCampus is the world’s leading fundraising platform for non-profit educational institutions. Trusted by 1,300+ colleges, universities, and K-12 schools, our mission is to help advance the quality, the affordability, and the accessibility of education. We received a seed investment from Y Combinator in 2015 and have pursued a strategy of ‘Sustainable Growth’ ever since: achieving six consecutive years of profitability and positive cash-flow while more than quadrupling our revenue, our customer base, and our team. In 2022, we raised $50 million to accelerate the next stage of our growth.

Through The GiveCampus Social Mobility Initiative, we’ve donated $1 million in free fundraising support for programs that help low-income students, first-generation students, and underrepresented minorities. And in 2022 and 2023, we were named to Y Combinator’s Top Companies list and the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies.

While we operate at meaningful scale (we’ve facilitated more than $6 billion in charitable giving), we’re still small relative to the commercial and social good opportunities in front of us. Every GiveCampus employee has a substantial impact on our trajectory, and we’re growing to help schools achieve even greater results.

Our purpose-driven team of 90+ is located across the US: team members work from anywhere they choose. We have a beautiful 12,000sf office in Washington, DC that is available for people to use whenever they want, and we regularly organize team meet-ups, events, and retreats in various locations. We’re looking to expand our team with diverse and collaborative doers who believe in our mission and the transformative power of affordable, high-quality education.

GiveCampus is looking for a Senior Product Manager to own and grow by 30x its event registration and ticketing product, GC Events. This is a unique opportunity for a PM with a strong track record spanning high-level strategy to deep execution who is hungry for autonomy and impact and rigorous and relentless in their pursuit of goals.

Today, GiveCampus is used by 1300+ educational institutions to facilitate hundreds of millions of dollars of philanthropic donations each year. We currently serve a wide range of schools from a 2-person fundraising team at a small K-12 school to huge 500-person fundraising teams at a public university. GC Events is our answer to the question, “Can I run my homecoming or reunion on GiveCampus, too?”.

The product is 18-months-old, revenue-generating, and well on its way to product-market-fit. This team member will own our Events strategy, prioritize the Events roadmap, and ship the solutions required to grow GC Events 30x over the next 3 years. They will report to the Head of Product and work in close partnership with Engineering, Data Science, Partner Operations, Partner Success, Marketing, and Business Development.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Results: GC Events is the undisputed first choice for schools looking for best-in-class software to power their event registration and ticketing. So much so that we are on pace to deliver 30x GC Events revenue by 2027. We deeply understand the needs of this market, have a clear path to delivering on them, and are shipping quality enhancements so quickly that our Events customers can barely keep up.
  • Decision Making: With input and buy-in from customers and customer-facing teams, develop and refine an Events roadmap that delivers the outcomes required for customers and customer-facing teams to realize their goals and further differentiate GC Events in the market
  • Execution: Implement and manage a tight, iterative feedback loop between users, the business, design, analytics, and engineering to increase velocity and drive key product and business outcomes
  • Expertise: Be the go-to technical and user expert on the Events market, buyers, users, and solution, owning roadmaps, launch calendars, sprint boards, PRDs, and KPIs
  • User Success: Be an empathetic advocate for our partner schools, end users, and internal team members

What we are looking for:

  • 4+ years of product management experience, independently managing complex, technical products from 0 to 1 and from 1 to scale
  • Impact: Significant contributor in the proven success of product delivery in a high growth, fast-paced environment
  • Data: Track record of making data-informed business and product decisions, including independently conducting analyses to support ongoing decision making
  • Discovery and prioritization: Experience concepting, prototyping, testing, and validating ideas with end users, and a strong prioritization framework or approach
  • Execution: Experience leading and continuously improving processes for sprint planning, daily standups, refinement, retrospectives, resource allocation, and project management against roadmap execution
  • Technical: Solid technical understanding and experience participating in discussions on software architecture, security, data modeling, etc. with engineers

Bonus points:

  • Dynamic, emerging leader who is better at listening than speaking
  • Thrives in ambiguity, creates order in chaos, and consistently thinks two steps ahead
  • Hands-on builder excited to go deep into technical requirements, user flows, and data
  • Strong collaborator who will naturally work cross-functionally but is also comfortable operating independently
  • Intensely curious, always pushing to understand why things are the way they are and how they got that way
  • Operates with a sense of urgency, maintains a fast pace, always pushing for faster
  • Holds themself and others to high standards; always pursues excellence
  • Deep sense of ownership and accountability; low maintenance, low drama
  • Runs towards big, ambitious goals rather than away from them
  • Passionate about advancing the quality, affordability, and accessibility of education
  • Radical empathy for end users

Product Manager

Product Manager

About the role

We’re on the hunt for a Product Manager who can team up with our clients to launch and grow beautifully crafted apps and interfaces.

As a Product Manager at a digital product agency, you’re a great communicator with experience taking digital products from idea to launch. You enjoy problem-solving — specifically, weighing client goals and feature requests against the timeline, budget, and teams’ capabilities. Since you’re the glue that keeps the designers, coders, and clients all on the same page, you’re super organized. You take great notes and use tools like Notion, Jira, GitHub, and Figma. Managing expectations is second nature to you.

Some of our clients are experienced founders and know exactly what they want, while others are first-timers with just a seed round and an idea. It’s your job to help them turn their ideas into actionable user stories, tasks, a roadmap, and timelines. You’re not afraid to talk about extending the budget, but you’d rather cut features than delay a launch.

Your understand that a Product Manager role at an agency is a bit different than in-house role. You’ll be juggling multiple client relationships and product roadmaps simultaneously (3 to 4 typically). The ideal candidate for this role usually has had a career path that started as a Developer (at least 1 year), moved into Technical Project Management (at least 1 year), and grown into a Product Manager (at least 2 years).

Why this job?
You’ll work with amazingly talented people to create some of the best work of your career, while collaborating directly with founders and product owners at startups and recognizable brands. Alongside our designers and developers, you will bring your work to life, while expanding your network and learning from our Head of Product. You will make a real impact for potentially millions of everyday app users.

About Input

As a digital product agency, we revel in the joy of the craft and take pride in making apps that people love to use. We seek coworkers who are self-directed learners with enthusiasm, a can-do attitude, intuition for problem-solving, empathy, listening skills, kindness, and respect for diverse perspectives.

Our clients are mostly startups across industries like healthcare, well-being, insurance, finance, and productivity. We’re into work/life balance, side projects, flexible hours, and avoiding unnecessary meetings.

Our office is in Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island, and while our team is spread across Canada, most of us are in the Vancouver area. We encourage remote and diverse candidates to apply.
To apply, please email us your resume and we’ll consider it lovingly.
