Hello, Accountants!

My name is Emma and I am the Co-Founder at Gameway – Gameway is the world’s first premium video game lounge located in airports. We revolutionize airport travel by making the start of your journey fun and entertaining. Based on how much time you have until your next flight, you can enjoy a first class video game experience to make time fly by.

We are looking to hire a motivated Accountant who has experience working remotely, is self-reliant, proactive, and responsible. Attention to detail, critical thinking, and outside-of-the-box thinking are required characteristics. In addition, our future Accountant should be able to demonstrate a strong ability to analyze, problem solve, and manage multiple state entities at once while organizing and analyzing the internal data to address the financial needs of the company.

This individual should have extensive experience working with Quickbooks Online and have the tech savviness to explore other tech platforms such as fathom, concur, trello, etc.

This is a full – time remote position.

Requirements

We are looking for a Accountant specifically with these requirements:

  • Native English or close to a native speaker
  • Bachelor’s Degree or MBA in Accounting or a related field
  • Has at least 3+ years of accounting experience, handling accounting responsibilities/functions
  • Knowledgeable in Accounting systems, Revenue recognition, Fund preparation, intangible assets, etc.
  • Has experience dealing with multistate tax regulations
  • Must be Quickbooks pro certified
  • Familiarity with different online communication platforms (Google Suite, Google calendar, Slack, Loom, and Teams)
  • Familiarity with online service platforms and software (Quickbooks Online, Fathom, Concur, Trello, etc.)
  • Comfortable working in US Pacific Standard Time zone

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience working with software companies and/or online entertainment service-based businesses
  • CPA / ACCA Certification required

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Taking ownership of the company’s overall accounting and payroll system
  • Bookkeeping for a gaming entertainment company or similar entertainment service-based businesses
  • Managing multi state agencies accounting
  • Ensuring that the company adheres to the tax regulations of multiple states the company is part of
  • Analyzing internal and external accounting trends and company financial needs
  • Preparing and presenting of customized report forecast
  • Managing the company’s budgets used for expenditures (projects, store openings and performance)
  • Managing accounts payables and receivables
  • Revenue Recognition Management
  • Reconciliation of financial accounts
  • In-depth knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets
  • Communication with the internal team via video conference, e-mail, and Slack
