DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Devops Engineer to join our team taking on the responsibility for the overall health, performance, and capacity of gaming platform services and internal developer tooling. This can involve troubleshooting issues across the entire stack: hardware, software, application and network, and other days, working with different stakeholders to identify and drive opportunities to improve automation for the company.

Responsibilities:

• The 24 by 7 overall health, performance, and capacity of gaming platform services and internal developer tooling.
• Build, automate and manage infrastructure platforms with developers, ensuring appropriate tools are used in an efficient manner.
• Regularly check code into source version control and continuous integration pipelines.
• Gain deep application-level knowledge of the systems as well as contributing to their overall design.
• Manage and proactively monitor varying services of the overall platform and all related dependencies.
• Use your attention to detail to detect and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner, ensuring SLA requirements are met.
• Adapt to new technologies and comprehend how these are applied to meet business requirements.
• Develop tools to improve our ability to rapidly deploy applications and services in a large-scale environment.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with containerisation tools and orchestrators such as Docker or Podman and Kubernetes
• Familiar with Kubernetes configuration management and IaC using any of; Helm or Kustomize and Ansible or Terraform respectively.
• Experience with Continuous Deployment processes and tools such as Gitops with ArgoCD
• Experience with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins or otherwise.
• Overall experience maintaining Linux operating systems.
• Networking knowledge and basic understanding, including TCP/IP layers, Load Balancers, reverse proxies, firewalling and packet inspection practices.
• Experience in monitoring, graphing, logging and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentbit.
• Ability to script with own preferred language(s)
• Familiarity with maintaining long-lived APIs backed by highly available and multi-tiered web application architectures.
• Familiar with cloud computing concepts and platforms such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with Message Queueing tools such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Strimzi
• Familiarity with the Atlassian Suite [Confluence/JIRA] and agile methodology.
