As an Engineering Manager (m/f/d) you will have technical ownership of our core product, leading & inspiring an Engineering team, and spearheading the design, development, and deployment of new features.

Life as a Manager at Linearity:

• Inspire, empower, assemble & lead a distributed team building a next-generation graphic design tool
• Design, build and implement new product features focusing on high quality ensuring functional excellence
• Champion high-level architecture decisions & standards, driving creative technical decisions within your team and promoting innovative solutions
• Encourage collaboration between our Engineering, Product, and Design teams & drive engineering best practices
• Hire, mentor, and coach a group of selected individuals
• Providing career development guidance to the members of the team
• Contribute to scaling our team by supporting all our engineering initiatives, be it technical or managerial

As a technical lead, you’ll design the architecture and oversee the development of:

• The core of animation system for vector graphics.
• Tools exposed to the user for control of the animation.
• Innovative technologies (presets, machine learning) to make it easier for the users to create complex animations easily.
• Template library to be able to reuse graphics and animations.
• Ensure high performance of the animation system and high quality of the animation tool.

• Have worked on animation tools or animation systems (using any programming language).
• Multiple years of experience leading, coaching and building software engineering teams delivering innovative and scalable software.
• Have In-depth understanding of the industry, UX/UI design and deep knowledge of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines
• Have a proactive attitude, highly collaborative and a positive energetic mindset and is mission-driven
• Possess interpersonal skills and a hands-on attitude
• Fluent in English, possessing great communication skills being able to adapt to different audiences

Desirable (great to have, not essential)

• Knowledge in real time-collaboration systems, metal or machine learning is a big plus
• Proficiency in metal or machine learning is a big plus
• Knowledge of the iOS ecosystem and its programming languages is also a plus
