Freelance Game Developer – C++

As a Freelance Game Developer at Tamatem, you will be responsible for working on the implementation of new game features and improving existing ones in collaboration with other team members in order to create quality mobile games.

Responsibilities:

• Efficient and Maintainable Code: Develop efficient and easily manageable code while following industry-standard programming practices.
• Feature Implementation: Take an active role in implementing new game features and enhancing existing ones to improve gameplay and user experience.
• Bug Identification and Resolution: Identify and troubleshoot software bugs to ensure a smooth and error-free gaming experience for players.
• Participation in Meetings: Actively engage in team meetings, providing valuable suggestions and insights to contribute to project planning and development strategies.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other team members, including artists, designers, and QA testers, to ensure seamless integration of code and game elements.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with other departments and teams within the organization, such as marketing and production, to align development efforts with broader company goals.
• Code Review: Review code written by fellow developers, offering constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Mentoring Junior Developers: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, helping them develop their skills and grow within the team.
• Task Estimation: Accurately estimate the time required for various development tasks, assisting in project planning and resource allocation.

• Demonstrated experience in the field of game development, showcasing a solid understanding of game design principles and practices.
• Experience in iOS and Android platforms, including a strong familiarity with their respective development environments and guidelines.
• Framework Familiarity: Experience working with game development frameworks such as Unity, Cocos2d-x, or similar technologies, highlighting your ability to leverage these tools for game creation.
• Strong general programming skills (OOP) concepts, and different programming paradigms.
• A genuine passion for learning and staying up-to-date with evolving technologies and industry trends.
• Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and proactively tackle challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling you to convey ideas clearly, collaborate effectively with team members
