Full Time Digital Content Manager

Orange Comet is seeking a Lead Network Programmer with expertise in C# and the networking environment in Unity. Our ideal candidate will have rich experience with the various aspects of implementing networking for games with a client-server model in Unity. We are open to filling this position with a Global Contractor.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the Networking Team
• Help with finding the right talent and building the team
• Code reviews of networking-related code
• Set up Unity dedicated game server
• Implement the base code for replication
• Define the data to be replicated
• Actively participate in the design and implementation of gameplay features
• Work with DevOps team to ensure the game is running efficiently
• Optimize network bandwidth and server load
• Debug network problems
• Help plan the development of the game
• Educate engineers on how to maximize network reliability and replication

• Experience: 5 years working on online games, with 2 years in a lead role
• Proficient in C#
• Proficient in Unity
• Ability to efficiently debug and optimize problem code
• Deep understanding of multiplayer game network topologies
• Deep understanding of algorithms and data structures related to networking
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to work remotely and independently
• Strong communication skills

Nice to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with networking for mobile multiplayer games.

Additional Information:

The base salary range for a full-time position is $50,000-$200,000 USD+ benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
