About Nodle

The Nodle network connects the world by using smartphones as nodes to create a digital trust network for social good. Nodle enables unique applications that can leverage the network for things like public safety, sourcing trusted user-generated content, locating assets or accessing remote sensors. The Nodle network is decentralized, secure, and scalable making it perfect for digital witnesses, smart missions and micro-transactions. The Nodle team has just released Click, a revolutionary camera app allowing the capture of photos and videos that are proven to have been taken by a real person, on a real device, at the right time and location.

Location

This is a remote role.

You must be based between Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) and Central European Time (CET), and willing to flex between these two time zones when the need arises.

As our Lead iOS Engineer you will be responsible for leading and growing a team of rock star developers with a product mindset that will work on:

• Making the Nodle App the best and most user friendly Web3 mobile wallet in the world.
• Turning the Click Camera application into THE way to authenticate  photos and videos  plus prevent the spread of misinformation
• Supporting the rest of the company in acquiring new B2B enterprise customers for the Nodle and ContentSign SDKs through the creation of new innovative solutions, demos, proof of concepts, or supporting documents

You will work closely with the mobile engineering and products team to build iOS native applications and SDKs. You will bring your expertise to deliver  rich mobile experiences in a cost efficient way.

This will include:

• Architecturing easily maintainable and stable iOS native solutions to extend the mobile applications supported by the Nodle Network (Nodle and Click Camera at present)
• Providing clear direction, thought leadership and mentoring to the mobile development team by coaching the iOS developers and setting up clear development standards for the mobile team
• Working closely with the products team to swiftly address issues within our mobile iOS stack as they arise
• Migrating our iOS codebases to modern standards and practices such as but not limited to using SwiftUI, SwiftData and other modern frameworks when possible
• Drawing from industry-leading best practices to contribute to Nodle’s engineering practices and technical stack, improving overall reliability and efficiency.
• Communicating effectively with your team both verbally and in writing.
• Investigating issues when they occur and fixing them in a timely manner.
• Documenting new solutions as they are architectured and developed in coordination with the larger engineering team through the creation of technical specs.

What we are looking for

You are a senior engineer with experience solving complex problems.  You will have an awareness of the latest trends and technologies and know how to use them to improve the reliability of the Nodle stack and services. You will have a proven track record developing native iOS apps and SDKs. Being able to work in an autonomous manner while sharing knowledge and expertise with a diverse and globally spread team is critical for success in this role.

You will be expected to take ownership of your work, provide clear technical direction to the mobile development team and pursue continuous improvement, proactively identifying present and potential issues and working swiftly and efficiently to resolve them.

• A track record of collaborating with iOS, Android, and backend engineers in order to ship features that users adore.
• Previous experience as a Lead iOS Engineer or similar role.
• A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline or otherwise an equivalent years of experience in software development.

It’s a bonus if you have prior experience:

• Working on Web3 projects and/or a Web3 wallet
• Prior experience working for a fast moving startup.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

While originally founded in San Francisco; Nodle is now a fully remote company with a small core in San Francisco and a large part of the mobile development team based in Europe.
