Seeking a detail-oriented product designer who is passionate about the brand, eager to make a small innovation through the product to elevate an industry standard and contribute to people’s happy life. Four- to five-years’ experience required, as well as a portfolio of past works.
You will be responsible for every step of product development, from the research and exploring concepts, sketching, prototyping, instruction, package design and quality control to ensuring a visually appealing design and unique function to give it an innovative and renovative value to the item.
Must have advanced knowledge with the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop and Solidworks. Candidate will be comfortable adhering to brand guidelines and working with existing design concepts, but equally comfortable actively bringing new ideas to life.
The candidate is also comfortable working with a cross-functional teams through all stages of the product development. Role requires frequent communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Functions:
· Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Solidworks,Illustrator and Photoshop.
· Conduct research to gain deep understanding of the problem space and empathy in user needs to identify opportunities for product or feature enhancements.
· Create design concepts and drawings to determine the best product based on the findings.
· Employ design concepts into functional prototypes.
· Determine the best package design for the item.
· Demonstrated ability to follow and develop brand guidelines. Ability to adapt style to meet brand standards, as well as apply those guidelines in new and innovative ways.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including executives, sales, marketing, operations, quality control, etc) and support them to create great consumer experiences through products.
· Present product design ideas to leadership and members and take direction whenever necessary.
· Attending to the trade show and photoshoot to showcase and demonstrate Yamazaki items.
· Teamwork oriented – Will join a small, team-focused group.
· Becomes familiar with all levels of product information, understanding features and benefits of our products, and learns how to best market them
· Demonstrated ability to juggle priorities, deadlines, and responsibilities—both short- and long-term.

Qualifications: Education/Experience
· A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
· A minimum of 4-5 years of related experience

Work Hours:
· Full-time position. Weekdays, 9-6pm.
· Must exhibit flexibility with schedule and tasks, dependent upon business needs.
