As a Technical Accountant, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience who will help you realise your full potential by helping you build your network, enhance your career and gain job satisfaction. As part of a team, you’ll advise engagement teams as well as clients in the area of IFRS implementation, reporting, application of accounting standards and solving complex accounting issues in financial statements. Your responsibilities may include:
- Conduct in-depth research on complex matters and assist in the preparation of technical papers
- Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients
- Act as a consultant to our internal teams as well as external clients
- Be involved in the provision of in-house training courses, workshop and seminars
- Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
- Contribute to the development of your own technical accounting acumen
- Develop strategies to solve complex technical areas
- Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
- Continue to develop effective working relationships both with clients and internally, and your PwC brand
The ideal candidate would:
- Hold at least 1-year of experience in an audit or client accounting role
- Hold an A-level standard of qualification
- Be currently reading for a Master’s degree in Accounting or ACCA
- Be fluent in English and have strong interpersonal skills
- Possess intellectual curiosity
- Enjoy reading and researching accounting standards (IFRS)
- Be comfortable communicating and building relationships with clients
