Technical Writer

Funnel Leasing Inc., is hiring for a Technical Writer that can ‘work from anywhere’ in the U.S. As the Technical Writer, you are responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation for the Education team. This role will assist and/or manage processes and documents such as release notes, user documentation, knowledge articles, internal documentation, training materials, user guides, FAQs, and product workflows. This role will work with the Education team and cross-functional teams that support the educational content and processes.

The Technical Writer’s essential roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Work with the Education team to develop and update technical documentation
• Write clear and concise documentation for a variety of audiences, including property managers, leasing agents, and maintenance staff
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure the accuracy of documentation
• Organize and maintain documentation in a clear and easily accessible manner
• Review and revise existing documentation as needed
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in technical writing
• Review and manage education reports and KPIs and make recommendations for improvement
• Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking documentation work to meet product release dates and customer deliverables.
• Maintain a library of application documentation, cataloging it for internal and/or external use.
• Publish and maintain templates for document types

Education, Work Experience, Knowledge, and Certifications 

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, related experience.
• 2-5 years of experience in technical writing
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent technical writing and editing skills
• Experience with HTML and CSS
• Experience with Google workspace
• Experience with Salesforce Knowledge and LMS software is a plus
