Role: Visual Graphic Designer (Advertising)

 

Start: Immediate

Pay rate: £400 to £450 per day (PAYE – Inside IR35) + Holiday pay

Expected duration: 3 months with a possibility to extend

Location: Central London – Hybrid working with 1-2 days in the office

Job Overview

Our client is a global technology leader, their advertising division provided services to some of the world’s most renowned brands in Food and Beverage, Entertainment (Movie Production Houses, Toy manufacturers, and more). They are seeking a talented Visual designer to create and deliver pixel perfect advertising experiences for their advertising customers across the EU. This position requires strong intrinsic design ability, typographic skills, acute attention to detail, and web expertise. The ability to manage multiple projects and demonstrate ownership is a must.

 

Your primary focus will be to design visually compelling and effective advertising campaigns creative across big and small, global, and local brands – working closely with Art Directors and Design leads, as well as sales and marketing teams. As a Visual Designer you have to be passionate about visual customer experience and delivering world-class design from compelling landing pages to media drivers, all with the same high standard. You will start with the customer in your thinking, understanding that what you do is critical to creating a successful, consistent shopping experience.

 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Creating and delivering on-brand, bar raising digital design solutions that meet advertisers’ business goals, brand guidelines and project requirements.
  • Proactively manage your resources, time and deadlines along with building good relationships colleagues through consistent creative excellence
  • You can manage your work and deliver with limited guidance and work across partner teams from multiple disciplines which may include roles such as marketing, design technology and sales teams.
  • Work collaboratively with the team around you to ensure high standards of design, brand consistency and customer experience
  • Present work to team and key stakeholders for review, feedback, and approval.
  • Fulfil multiple projects requests while simultaneously meeting tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrate a command of design methods, tools, communication, and presentation skills.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications / Graphic Design / UX/UI design or similar experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related environment (advertising agency, design studio, or similar)
  • Highly proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Sketch
  • Mastery of the principals of design, colour theory, typography and graphics file creation optimised for digital media
  • Self-starter with bias for action who is a customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic team player
  • Strong time management skills and team-oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong written/verbal communication and collaborative skills
  • Collaboration with peers, partners and stakeholders to ensure high-quality, cohesive deliverables through the entire design process. Ability to drive the design process by independently defining requirements, scoping projects, and prioritising tasks.

  • Comfortable working and collaborating across an international environment
  • Being able to support junior designers
  • A proven ability to work across a broad range of product and subject matters whilst managing feedback
  • You identify roadblocks and dependencies from other teams that are impeding initiative progress or success and recommend short-term solutions (e.g., process enhancements/elimination, resources, reprioritisation, etc.).
  • Unwavering attention to detail and an acute awareness that everything counts
  • Always striving to learn and be curious on innovation and the latest design trends
  • Relentlessly high standards (is never satisfied with the status quo)
  • Demonstrated business acumen and customer-centricity
  • Vector-based illustration skills and motion graphic knowledge beneficial
