ProFound Staffing is working with a SaaS solution provider located in the Cayman Islands that’s searching for a WordPress Developer – UI/UX Developer – Designer to work remotely from anywhere in the United States.

 

Candidate will join a team of Developers and be responsible for creating and maintaining websites using WordPress and Adobe XD for creating wireframes based on client’s requirements as part of the “discovery phase” as the Development team develops new applications.

About:

This company has extensive experience in operating world-class data centers hosting SaaS solutions. They are a 20-year-old company with a solid client base focused on building long term client relationships and world class solutions. They have a business model for long term loyalty with their staff and clients.

Candidate will work remotely from a home office and on occasion be required to work outside of regular business hours and share on-call duties with other members on the Application Support team. Candidate will be given the opportunity to travel and work in a Caribbean lifestyle for one week each year when they visit the company’s headquarters and data centers in the Cayman Islands. Over time is expected in this position.

Ideal Candidate:

  • UI/UX Professional with a blended skill set in development and design.
  • WordPress development experience building dashboards, login and administration.
  • WordPress plugins, third party integrations and ACFs.
  • Proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Proficiency in Adobe XD.
  • Experienced in creating wireframes, prototypes and mockups.
  • Major plus if candidate has development skills in Angular 2-14

Education:

  • Degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, UI/UX Design and/or Computer Science.

Technical Skills & Abilities:

  • 3 years minimum – WordPress development experience
  • Strong understanding of custom Post Types & Taxonomies
  • Proficient in Theme Customization
  • Highly Proficient with HTML and CSS
  • Basic knowledge of Git
  • Highly Proficient with Cross-Browser Compatibility and Responsive, Mobile-first Design
  • Ability to estimate time needed to develop projects
  • Ability to work on an existing WordPress codebase that utilizes Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
  • Proficient Using a Wide Range of WordPress Plugins and 3rd-party Integrations
  • Custom WordPress dashboards, login and admin
  • Proficient with Shared Hosting Environments, FTP, and cPanel
  • Highly proficient in Adobe XD
  • Experience using Photoshop or Illustrator

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to quickly adjust priorities to respond to pressing demands, and work well under pressure
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills (phone, email, and face-to-face)

  • Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration abilities
  • Fluent in the English language

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the client and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate visual design concepts into responsive web interfaces.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design ideas and interactions effectively.
  • Implement intuitive and visually appealing navigation systems, user flows, and interactive elements to enhance user engagement.
  • Optimize website performance and loading times through efficient coding practices and optimization techniques.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of designs and advocate for best practices in front-end development.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continually improve design and development processes.
  • Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic.
  • Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of web applications to identify and resolve bugs and UI inconsistencies.
  • Participate in design critiques, brainstorming sessions, and provide constructive feedback to improve overall design quality.
  • Maintain and update existing websites, making necessary adjustments to improve security, performance, user experience, and aesthetics.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining design documentation, style guides, and pattern libraries to ensure design consistency across projects.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure branding and messaging are effectively integrated into the website design

Work Samples:

Client is requesting portfolio of work samples to review.

Teamwork:

Candidate will collaborate with software management and teams via Go-To meetings as required.

Background Check:

Candidate will be required to complete a satisfactory reference, background check and security clearance background check.

Travel:

Candidate must be open to travel to the corporate office in the Cayman Islands 1-2 weeks a year for business purposes.

Remote Office:

Candidate must have the maturity to work remotely from home and be productive to meet project deliverables.

Work Hours:

Core work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, the client can be flexible (ex. 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 pm) with the work schedule as long as it’s the same schedule every day and every week.

Compensation:

Salary range is $70-95K (DOE.) This is a direct hire position. However, the candidate will have a contract in place with the client in order to work with them. Client prefers someone who can make a 3 to 5-year commitment.

Benefits:

Employer will offer a flat amount for salary. The candidate will be responsible for purchasing their medical benefits, retirement and paying their federal income tax using the salary. Employer will pay for 3 weeks of PTO (vacation & holiday.)

Work Equipment:

Company will provide a computer and Internet connection (not a separate phone line since that’s all done VoIP with GTM, Telegram or Skype).
